Got a new lens and a fun, new, colored paper background and since it was Easter I got my favorite boys together for a little shoot. The shoot was simple and fun! And as we talked with them and teased them, their “looks” my family and I are familiar with shined through. LOVE LOVE my Jack-Jack, Kael and Sid!

Welcome! Welcome to a new endeavor of mine. A journey of self improvement and sharing. All about photography!
I have been thinking a lot lately about my blog and how I can improve it, post more and share what I know, what I love. One of my first ideas was to blog about How to take better photos so that you, the reader, my friend, might soak in some techniques and learn how to take your own beautiful photos. Not that you don’t already, but we can all improve, right? And then when I started to write my first post today, my first Wrap about the subject I realized that I am not an expert on the subject either and I should approach this differently. Then my blogging idea took on a whole new meaning. I decided to take my own advice. Research, read, shoot and then share in hopes of improving and honing my skills and sharing my tips and tricks!
BTW, Wraps is an old term I used when I posted on our personal website when I was a Reynolds. Reynolds Wraps. These posts will come from me only. Later, if this project takes flight and there is interest I’m sure we can sweet talk Jeremy into posting about web and graphic design, post processing and artwork.
My first Wrap will be all about GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CAMERA. Whether it be a Point and Shoot (better known as PAS) or Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR)
Do you know which one you have? Do you know the difference? Do you know how to use your camera to its fullest?
Well, dig out your camera’s manual. And if you want to get a head start, read it. I am going to do the same and report back to you soon. Oh, and since I do shoot with both PAS and DSLR I am going to read both manuals and blog about them both!
Then once all of us have the tools we will dive into more interesting subjects/assignments. And I hope you share what you have learned, your own tips or tricks and most importantly share your photos. We can all learn from each other. And who doesn’t like to look at pretty pictures?
Future Wraps do include; lighting, composition, f-stop and aperture and photographing kids, fireworks, sunsets and much, much more! I hope to post at least once a month and would be glad to post on subjects by your request as well!
